"We are concerned about what will happen in the coming months: without a schedule for roadwork between Cagliari and the rest of the coast, we risk reliving what happened with Hurricane Harry." The mayors of Capoterra , Sarroch , Villa San Pietro , and Pula are requesting a meeting with the Region as soon as possible to determine the roadwork schedule.

Beniamino Garau, mayor of Capoterra, affirms the need for Anas to take charge of the Macchiareddu consortium road, which is full of potholes, especially after months of rain: «In March the Conti Vecchi road will reopen and in May the last stretch of the new State Road 195 which comes out in Macchiareddu, but if nothing is done on the main road of the industrial area the traffic problems will be enormous».

These concerns are shared by colleagues in Sarroch, Villa San Pietro, and Pula, municipalities that will have to contend with much heavier traffic during the summer, partly due to the influx of tourists.
