Just to mention the most important awards.

Gavino Sanna, at the turn of the seventies and eighties, made a decisive contribution to the renewal of Italian advertising , marking in 1985, with the famous advertising for Barilla, the definitive transition from the Carosello model to modern advertising. Among the many advertising campaigns he was the author of, we remember those for Rana, Fiat, De Cecco, Tuborg, Simmenthal and Ariston.

THE DRAWING - Beside the advertising activity Gavino Sanna has always practiced his passion for drawing , or rather for caricature . Gavino Sanna has recounted his brilliant career and his vision of the creative profession in numerous books, including Woody Allen's Eggs (1988), Creative Profession (1991); One more and then that's it (1992), The restless gaze (2003, with Aldo Tanchis) and The deception of a smile (2003). In 2000 Gavino Sanna left the advertising business and since 2006 he has dedicated himself to wine production. During the event there will be an exhibition of caricatures dedicated by him to Enrico Berlinguer (who was at home in Stintino) entitled "Happy birthday comrade Berlinguer". The setting will also be enriched by the display of some carpets that reproduce the labels created by Gavino Sanna for the wine bottles.
The cultural events of the Tonnara di Stintino Museum will continue on Sunday 24 July 2022 (at 7 pm) with the presentation of the book “Maestri d'ascia. The ancient art of building boats in Stintino ”, curated by Maria Veronica Benenati, Salvatore Rubino, Esmeralda Ughi, and Ambra Zambernardi. The volume will be presented by Marzio Cresci, vice president of the National Small Museums Association and Director of the Remiero Museum - "Mario Pucci" documentation center of shipbuilding and rowing.
