" Teatrini ", the exhibition of the Sardinian artist Igino Panzino , curated by Silvia De Franceschi, will be inaugurated on Sunday 4 September at the Museo della Tonnara , at 7 pm.

Son of the well-known painter Liliana Cano, Igino Panzino, 72, has long been one of the most significant figures in the current artistic context of the island. The Sassari artist, fifty years of creativity , exhibits in this exhibition about fifteen works of recent production, belonging to a series entitled, precisely, "Teatrini".

These are works of medium-small format, with a poetic conception and a playful-lyrical aspect that can recall sets or scenic elements. Works made using generally materials found in the studio, but where the design, clear and rigorous, remains marked by lightness, the fulcrum of the aesthetic operation.

The artist gives us an empathically detached gaze on the things of art.

Igino Panzino was formed in the sociopolitical climate of the sixties and seventies and immediately conceived art as a response to a constantly changing reality . Among other things, he was the protagonist of the groups of the island's Neo-avant-garde, experimenting with new materials and constantly searching for new forms of expression.

During the presentation of the solo show, the artist will be interviewed by the writer Cosimo Filigheddu . The exhibition will be open until 16 September.
