Stella Banderas no longer wants her mother's surname Melanie Griffith
The 25-year-old model and actress asked the judge for permission to shorten her name
Stella del Carmen Banderas Griffith, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, wants to have that of her mother removed from her surname.
The model and actress, 25, formally requested it from a Los Angeles judge, explaining that she wanted to shorten her name: "I don't usually use 'Griffith' when referring to myself or on documents. surname would correspond to what I normally use ".
Raised away from the spotlight, Stella was born in Spain and is the half-sister of actress Dakota Johnson, 31, and Alexander Bauer, 36, from her mother with Don Johnson and Stefano Potenza.
It is unclear whether the choice of the two stars' daughter has to do with her relationship with her mother. Indeed, on social networks the two often show declarations of love for each other.
The model recently attended the 69th San Sebastian International Film Festival at the Kursaal Palace with her father parading the red carpet.
