The new frontier of the Italian emo school landed on the island yesterday, and is now continuing its short but intense journey: after sharing the stage with Tony Cadena and many other island projects at the Gheisi Fest, Stegosauro continue their island tour this weekend . The Venetian band performs tonight at the Corto Maltese in Poetto , together with Tuscans Tomorr and their fellow countrymen Let's Play Decay , and tomorrow in Ossi , together with Tomorr and Sassari's Vilma .

Formed in the Veneto countryside during the summer of 2020, the band brought together former Decacy member Alberto Calabrese (vocals and guitar), Enrico Gazzetto (guitar), and Marco Ambrosini (drums and vocals) from the Leita project. Ambrosini (bass and vocals) joined them after the pandemic restrictions were lifted. United by a desire to blend math rock, screamo, and Midwestern emo into a hyperactive blend, they finally realized their dream with their self-titled debut in 2023.

Released on the historic genre label To Lose La Track in Italy, and distributed in Japan by the peer Friends of Mine , the extended play perfectly encapsulates the group's musically maximalist yet thematically frank and direct tendencies, also made possible by Giovanni Caruso 's melancholic trumpet. Shortly after, they also made their live debut at the famous Venezia Hardcore Fest , alongside Italian screamo icons Raein, while the group's most recent release, the double single " Scherzo Eterno ", dates back to 2024.
