Sorso and Romangia are at the pinnacle of winemaking quality. The Sorso Sennori winery has won new awards at the 2026 European Wine Cities Trophy, held recently in Pramaggiore, Veneto.
Repeating last year's success, the Fidelio Carignano IGT earned the Grande Medaglia d'Oro, while the Martie Cagnulari IGT was awarded the Medaglia d'Oro. This award further validates the winery's production, led by Mariana Popa and Giacomo Baralla, making it the only Sardinian winery to have won the Grande Medaglia d'Oro two years in a row.
The most prestigious award went to Fidelio Carignano IGT, a red wine produced in the Sorso hills overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. A Gold Medal also went to Martie Cagnulari IGT, made from one of the iconic grape varieties of Romangia. This recognition confirms the appreciation for a wine with a strong identity, tied to local tradition and the quality of the production between Sorso and Sennori.
