It is the day of truth for Christian Solinas: at 4 pm the motion of no confidence (first signed by Gianfranco Ganau of the Democratic Party) is discussed in the Regional Council against the governor who, according to the opposition, is responsible "for having expressed in the Conference of the Regions the opinion in favor of a reform ( the Calderoli bill on differentiated Autonomies ed.) which has not been the subject of discussions with the political parties and the social parties», and of « having debased the role of the Regional Council, assuming, in solitude, a decision of historic significance for our Island and for its autonomy and which should instead have taken place within the Assembly ».
The majority will vote against the motion, but very critical interventions are expected towards the president , who in this period does not enjoy great popularity among the allies. On the Calderoli law, for example, Forza Italia was very tough. « Those who said yes in the name of Sardinia have made a reckless move. We want to read this proposal well and start rewriting it », was the comment of the regional coordinator and blue deputy Ugo Cappellacci.
Problems also at home, in Psd'Az: in recent days Franco Mula resigned as group leader and there are many rumors about his imminent passage to Fratelli d'Italia. Stefano Schirru and Piero Maieli, and the councilor Fabio Usai could also leave the group.
The vote of the motion of no confidence will be nominal and clear, and the majority will vote against. However, the distinctions and absences will constitute a negative signal for the president. Many are wondering if Solinas will participate in the works: there are those who are willing to bet that he won't show up .
