Solinas: “Despite Covid, Sardinian health care keeps 5 thousand hires ready. The committees do not create conflicts "
The president takes stock three days after the great demonstration convened in Cagliari: "We need loyal cooperation, there is no need for mobilization"
Despite Covid, Sardinian health is holding up. The critical issues are not lacking, but to overcome them various actions have been implemented: "Between 2021 and 2023, out of 3,046 employees of the regional health system who will retire, including health, technical, administrative and professional personnel, 5,127 hires ".
For this "stop the conflict between the Region and the many committees that arise as if we did not care about the resolution of these problems".
Three days after the demonstration in defense of public health on 24 September in Cagliari, the president Christian Solinas at Villa Devoto takes stock of the situation in a press conference which was also attended by the commissioner Mario Nieddu, the general manager Marcello Tidore and the commissioner Ats Massimo Temussi.
The governor claims the actions taken to resolve the various knots, above all the chronic shortage of personnel. Remember the incentives for general practitioners to cover the most disadvantaged territories, the competitions held, the recruitments, the scholarships, the resources allocated for the elimination of waiting lists, the reform not yet fully implemented and the missing pieces of medicine territorial and hospital network.
"Today we feel the need to remember that loyal collaboration between institutions is needed, we are facing a complex season due to a pandemic for which no one in the world was prepared, and the goal of all is to guarantee public health for citizens. But all this cannot be resolved in a conflictual dynamic between the Region and the many committees that arise as if we did not care about the solution of these problems, or there was a need for popular mobilization to raise an issue already subject to measures already adopted or in the process of being adopted ", observes Solinas in reference to the event to be held in Cagliari.
"This tendency to ride on a problem that exists such as the shortage of doctors - he adds - has the effect of making some peripheral offices unattractive in the perception of staff who could fill the roles. We have doctors who refuse the assignment or resign".
Councilor Nieddu thinks about the numbers: "66 competitions announced for 799 positions among doctors, nurses and other figures, so far 25 have been completed for 191 hires, which will be added to those of all the figures recruited during the emergency Covid, which are 1,587 ".
The calls for the assignment of the ownership of the deficient centers of general practitioners: "We have banned 244 sites only in the last notice". The training: "We have programmed resources for 30 million euros for 2021-2023, each year 254 new scholarships for medical and health specialization schools in the non-medical area. In 2018 there were less than thirty".
And again: "Twenty million allocated for the elimination of waiting lists, the competitions for 60 doctors of 118 completed and the Rsa system strengthened".
