"Why hasn't Sogaer adequately requested the money that Ryanair owes her?" This is what Alberto Bertolotti , president of ConfCommercio Sud Sardegna and Fausto Mura , president of Federalberghi Sud Sardegna, ask in a note.

The reference is to the news, reported by L'Unione Sarda , about the report drawn up by the inspectors of the Ministry of Economy and Enac on budgets, tenders, agreements with the airlines of the Cagliari airport and in which the spotlight on a series of irregularities that emerged including the millionaire credits that Sogaer, the airport's management company, boasts from various companies . And the Irish company itself would be the one furthest behind in payments, with a debt of 12.8 million euros .

"If the news reported by the press is correct - and we have not read any denials - it is serious to note that those who manage the Cagliari airport have intended not to take the necessary legal actions that would allow them to collect the fees owed by the large companies to Sogaer", continue Bertolotti and Walls.

«Despite the cyclopean efforts of some, Cagliari airport is still firmly public . It belongs to the Chamber of Commerce, that is to say all the entrepreneurs and traders of Cagliari and Oristano, and is not yet at the service of multinationals. So the time has not yet come to do favors for the powerful , hoping not to incur their wrath or to gain their gratitude. For this reason, the money owed to Sogaer must remain in Sogaer's coffers and the directors have the precise duty to do everything that the law allows to gain possession of it", they continue. «We ask the directors of Sogaer – they then specify – to deny or explain the news: because, if it were true sic et simpliter, it would be evidence of serious financial damage caused to a company with entirely public capital».

«It is worth remembering that the Court of Auditors is implacable – conclude Bertolotti and Mura – even towards those who usually equate the indications of the accounting judiciary with the advice of some overly prudent aunt».
