There are five snails in Sardinia awarded by Osterie d'Italia 2023 , the Slow Food guide.
They have been conquered by the “Locanda dei Buoni e Cattivi” in Cagliari, “Su Recreu” in Ittiri, “Il Rifugio” in Nuoro, “Letizia” in Nuxis and “La Rosa dei Venti” in Sennariolo .
There are also three novelties for the island, in fact the “Abbamele” guide in Mamoiada, “Agriturismo Castel Doria” in Santa Maria Coghinas and the “Tratto-Macelleria Vivarelli” in Cagliari are included.
"The recognition goes to the places that best represent the Slow Food values of sustainability, enhancement of small short-chain productions, attention to tradition, hospitality , good eating in the name of good, fair and clean", explains Raimondo Mandis, Slow Food trustee for Sardinia.
The guide then assigns four bottles, which indicate an extensive and well-kept wine list, to “Il Mosto” from Aggius, “Ispinigoli” from Dorgali, “Abbamele” from Mamoiada, “Il portico” from Nuoro.
This year the special "Bere Bene" prize was also introduced in Italy to three taverns, including "Ada" in San Sperate led by Andrea Caboni .
