Skyrocketing prices: high inflation in food, hotels and restaurants in Northern Sardinia

North Sardinia above the national average of inflation on food products and restaurant services.
The National Consumers Union conducted a study on Istat data for the month of September, analyzing the increases in all the main cities.
On food and non-alcoholic beverages , in Italy the increase in prices on September 2021 is 11.7%, a sting equal to an average of 660 euros more on an annual basis. It is worse in Olbia, 16th in this ranking with + 13.1%, and in Sassari, + 12.6% . In Cagliari the rise is slightly below the national average, + 11.5% .
Turning to restaurant services in Italy, annual inflation is 5.9%: and Sassari in this unrewarding ranking is in the very first positions, fifth with + 8.9%. Olbia is also in the top ten (+ 8.3%), while Cagliari with + 6.4% is still above the national average.
Under the item water supply and services connected to the home such as waste collection and condominium expenses , inflation tends to be low at national level (+ 1.8%), even lower in Sardinia: in Olbia + 0.9% , while costs they even decreased in Sassari (-0.4%) and Cagliari (-2.4%) .
Chapter kindergarten and primary education : in Italy prices increased by 2.8%, in Cagliari by 1.2%, in Sassari by 0.5% . Well Olbia, which is last in this ranking with a deflation of 2.9% .
As for accommodation services (hotels, pensions, farmhouses, bed and breakfasts, campsites), it is the sector with the highest price growth in Italy, + 16% compared to a year ago. In Sassari there is even a + 19.1%, in Olbia + 15.2% . The increase in Cagliari was much more contained, + 3.2% .
