Make way for dreamers. For those capable of looking beyond, of imagining new paths, and, above all, of transforming an idea into a concrete possibility. It is in keeping with this invitation , chosen as the guiding principle of the twelfth edition, that the Pastoral Tourism Office of the Dioceses of Nuoro and Lanusei closed a summer of meetings, music, art, cinema, and testimonies, with a total of 16,000 attendees . The icing on the cake was Geppi Cucciari , the surprise guest of the final event in Tortolì. The Sardinian actress, comedian, and host met with Bishop Antonello Mura in an evening built on dialogue, memory, and irony. Memories of Sardinia, personal and professional anecdotes, and the experiences of a career spanning television, theater, and film also gave way to deeper reflections, in a dialogue alternating between lightheartedness and intensity. The Caritas Amphitheater could not hold the entire audience.

Twenty-four events, eighty artists, musicians, journalists, writers, and cultural figures. These numbers speak to the scale of this event, which, year after year, has expanded its audience and reach, spanning the territories of the two dioceses, from the Caritas Amphitheater in Tortolì to the Caletta in Siniscola. Thanks to the concerted efforts of the diocesan staff and countless volunteers, it is a truly unique experience.

An edition built around a diverse range of stories and personalities: from the cinema of Riccardo Milani and Chiara Caselli to the music of Filippo Graziani, Mario Lavezzi, and Elio, from the testimonies of astronaut Paolo Nespoli and Omar Pedrini, Caterina Murino, and Anna Foglietta, recipient of the 2026 National Fraternal Person Award.

But the Pastorale wasn't just a stage. Culture also found space through photography, film, and music, with numerous Sardinian artists . Through food and hospitality, provided by the communities of the participating territories.

Among these is Triei, which hosted one of the evenings: "The Pastoral Tourism Program is beneficial to our area because it brings a noteworthy audience every year and allows people to engage with prominent figures and address ever-timely issues," says Mayor Anna Assunta Chironi. "For the community, it's also an opportunity to publicize our reality" and a moment of discussion and growth.

"We can also consider the twelfth edition of the Pastoral of Tourism, seven of which were held with the Diocese of Nuoro, first and foremost as a renewed experience of the Church in the region ," says Bishop Antonello. "Welcoming everyone, fraternity in gestures and decisions, themes to reflect on, and people and stories that emerge were the ingredients of our meetings. 'Make Way for Dreamers' was not just an attractive slogan, but also a vision of the world, a faith-based perspective on society. Individual artists and groups spoke about our lives and how to illuminate them with daydreams. I am happy to represent, once again in this event, two dioceses that engage in summer activities at various levels, with passion and joy."
