Laura Pirrigheddu enchants The Voice Generations.

The 28-year-old singer from Tempio Pausania performed on the Rai1 talent show with her student and "sister by choice" Kate-Marie Gimondi, a 12-year-old from Lodi.

First, they sang Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass," as their proud mothers looked on. Then, surprisingly, they performed in Gallura dialect: "I sing the songs in my own language," says Laura, performing Nek's "Laura non c'è" ("Laura isn't there, she's gone, Laura isn't my thing anymore") and Loredana Bertè's "Il mare d'inverno" ("Mari, mari, no ci 'eni mai nisciunu chi mi si poltarìa/Mari, mari, no ci 'eni mai nisciunu a facci cumpagnia").

The five judges showered their compliments on the winner: not only Nek and Bertè, but also Rocco Hunt, Clementino, and Arisa.

" I felt a great energy," Bertè commented. "There's perfect chemistry between you. I want to work with you and have fun with you: choose me." And Laura and Kate-Marie, who had also seen Rocco Hunt and Clementino "turn around," as is the mechanics of the competition, didn't need to be told twice: "We recognize ourselves in Loredana's determination; we're with her."

For Laura Pirrigheddu, who moved to Lodi for her love of music, it's a dream come true: "I still can't believe it. Me, the Gallura people, and music." Kate-Marie Gimondi, who in addition to music also has a great passion for dairy heifers, is moved: "I raise them on my father's farm and make them beautiful for livestock shows." And of course, while she prepares them, "I sing for them."
