Jannik Sinner , as always, is the talk of the town. He doesn't respond to the wave of controversy, even excessive, that followed his withdrawal from the Davis Cup, and he walks over Germany's Daniel Altmaier , world number 51.
The South Tyrolean won 6-0, 6-2 in 58 minutes , conceding just three points in his seven service games, and advanced to the round of 16 of the ATP 500 in Vienna. He will face Flavio Cobolli in an Italian derby , who defeated German Tomáš Macháč 7-6, 6-2.
Also advancing in the Austrian tournament are Matteo Berrettini (7-6, 6-3 against Australian Popyrin), Lorenzo Musetti (6-4, 6-3 against Serbian Medjedovic) and Matteo Arnaldi (7-5, 6-4 against American Kovacevic).
