Sinnai, students and associations protagonists in the "Day of Remembrance"
Involved the city schools, in a reflection on the issues of memory, violence and discrimination

With the involvement of the public education department of the Municipality, schools, the museum, the historical archive, the civic theater, the civic school of music and the Polisolidale foundation, "Center for Social Aggregation and Space Tasks", Sinnai yesterday promoted a whole series of initiatives for the Day of Remembrance.
It began with the videoconference workshop which saw the active and lively participation of the secondary school in via Caravaggio. Through an interactive approach, the participating classes reflected on the themes of memory, violence and discrimination, with the support of the reading of some works of art such as Picasso's Guernica, Thomas Ball's Emancipation Memorial, Arno Beker's Prometheus, with the aid for animated reading of thematic passages, including "Anne Frank, a ray of sunshine in the dark years of Nazism", "If this is a man", "Sara's flight". The students were called to express emotions, opinions and sensations and walked a path towards the meaning of Memory, expertly guided by the operators and teachers present in the classroom.
At the same time, the show "In a sky of yellow stars ... white butterflies" by the company Il Crogiuolo was staged by the Civic Theater, which was attended by the primary school in via Libertà. The show led the participating classes to reflect on the stories of boys and girls who experienced the horror of deportation. Finally, the proposal sent to the institutes provides for the creation of a series of animated reading workshops on the theme of Memory, by the Municipal Library, intended for primary schools, which have already begun in the primary school of San Isidoro and will continue in the next weeks for all primary schools that request it.
"The joint participation of the museum, the library, the civic theater, the civic school of music and the Polisolidale Foundation enhances the reflection on the theme of Memory, ensures an interactive and engaging approach for our schools and constitutes a precious example of synergy between various actors operating in the municipal area, in the cultural and social sphere ", says Marta Sarigu, Councilor for Culture and Public Education.
