Single day of the Armed Forces, the government opens to Mattarella's proposal
Defense Minister Lorenzo Guerini: "The conditions exist for it to become a reality"
The government, through Defense Minister Lorenzo Guerini , says it is in favor of the hypothesis proposed by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella of standardizing the celebrations for the Armed Forces .
"We have read the message of the President of the Republic", said Guerini on the sidelines of the meeting of the Alpine troops underway in Rimini : "An important message that I believe that parliament and the government must look at with great attention. I think the conditions are right. so that this recommendation, this invitation becomes reality ".
The Head of State has called on the executive to enact a law that merges the celebrations of all military corps into a single national holiday. A message launched on Friday with the promulgation of the law establishing the Day of the Alpine troops for January 26th.
For Mattarella all the Armed Forces should be celebrated on November 4th .
