Charles Leclerc took pole position in the Singapore Grand Prix, 17th round of the Formula 1 World Championship.

The Ferrari driver set the best time on the Marina Bay street circuit in 1: 49.412, alongside him in the front row is Sergio Perez's Red Bull . In the second row, instead , Hamilton's Mercedes ahead of Carlos Sainz's other Ferrari . World championship leader Max Verstappen was only eighth , who just before crossing the finish line in what seemed like a pole lap or in any case from the very first positions, swerved towards the pits. Perhaps due to a shortage of petrol.

In the third row Alonso ahead of Norris, in the fourth Gasly on Verstappen, Magnussen and Tsunoda close the top ten.

For Leclerc today is the ninth pole position of the season , 11th for Ferrari which, however, has only managed to win a Grand Prix four times, three with Leclerc and one with Sainz.
