In the place where the seven Cervi Brothers paid with their deaths for the rebellion against Nazi-fascism, the XXIII Edition of the Resistance Theater Festival was celebrated. Two artists from Sassari won the Cervi Museum Award - Theater for Memory with “Petter: political prisoner”. Simone Azzu took care of the direction and dramaturgy, Martino Corrias took care of the music and sounds. Both told the story of Petter Moen, editor of the Norwegian underground press.

The jury awarded them with this motivation: «A contemporary research characterized by an innovative language with a broad, multidisciplinary gaze, capable of provoking, through perceptive shock, the immersion of the spectator in the drama experienced by the protagonist, compressed between resistance values and feeling of guilt for the betrayal of his companions. A story with Shakespearean references, that of the Norwegian mathematician Petter Moen, a resistance fighter who died in Nazi hands in 1944 in the sinking of the Westfalen ship, whose memory has largely been lost even in his homeland, but which is of great depth, supported by a solid sound dramaturgy, convincing acting and impactful staging."

The award was also «recognition of the rigor and conscious vision of the young company Ship Produzione Teatrale for having tackled the field of experimentation in the service of memory with conviction and competence».

The project was born from an idea and with the support of the Istituto Storico Parri - Bologna Metropolitana, with the patronage of the Department of Arts - Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna and Asinara National Park - Marine Protected Area, in collaboration with the Meridiano Zero Company.
