The garden, the quiet and a book in your hands. Anyone who wants to dedicate themselves to reading in a different context than usual can do so on Saturday from 10 to 13 in the splendid garden of the National Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum "GA Sanna" in Sassari . The initiative, called "Silent reading in the garden" is promoted by the Sassari museum together with the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Sardinia as part of the initiatives scheduled for May of Books 2025.

The goal is to offer an intimate moment in the name of culture, shared with other readers. An opportunity to meet and exchange in a place full of charm and beauty that becomes a point of reference for the city. A book in your hands and a cloth or mat brought from home, looking for a place on the lawn, to join in reading, in total silence, with the aim of experiencing the Museum with different eyes.

Maggio dei Libri was born in 2011 with a national campaign that invites people to bring books and reading into contexts other than traditional ones, to reach those who usually do not read.

For the event, admission will be free. Reservations are not required and access to the garden will be permitted until all seats are taken. Admission to the Museum rooms will be subject to normal pricing.
