Eight hours of strike at Sider Alloys in Portovesme, on the first day of the layoffs announced by the company. Early in the morning, unions and workers gathered at the gates of the aluminum factory.

"We are very worried about the developments of this matter, clarity and certain programs are needed on the restart", said the trade unions.

Industry councilor Emanuele Cani also arrived at the gates and guaranteed the attention of the regional council for the dispute.

The redundancy fund will affect the entire workforce (around ninety units) with a rotation hypothesis of 50 percent, for 13 weeks. In Portovesme we are waiting for the summons to the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy.
