Andryi Shevchenko's adventure on the Genoa bench lasted less than three months.
After the knockout of the Grifoni against Milan in the Italian Cup and in light of the penultimate place in the league, the rossoblù club has in fact decided to sack the former Ukrainian champion.
"The club - reads a note - thanks the coach and his staff for the work done".
The team was temporarily entrusted to the youth coach Abdoulay Konko, assisted by Roberto Murgita.
The club seems to have been discussing for days the possibility of hiring the Italian German Bruno Labbadia, considered an expert in racing salvation, and is also targeting former Roma coach Rudy Garcia.
The Ukrainian coach had taken over from Davide Ballardini: he remained on the rossoblù bench for nine days with a balance sheet of six defeats and three draws.
