Back to Sestu “Sa festa manna” of San Gemiliano . It will take place from 1 to 6 September in the splendid locality of the same name, including religious rites, folk, concerts and musical performances.

THE APPOINTMENTS - It starts on September 1st with a concert by the town band “Giuseppe Verdi”. On 2 September, at 7 pm, the procession with the transfer of the simulacrum of San Gemiliano from the parish of San Giorgio martire to the rural church accompanied by folk groups and the musical band. Mass with the choir of Santa Cecilia will follow. In the evening show with "Pino and antibodies" . Several masses will be celebrated on 3 September. In the evening, a traveling exhibition by the cultural association "Mustajonis e S'orcu foresu". A rock concert will follow.

On 4 September, the procession with the relic of the saint (11.30 am) around the small church with the Lorenzo Perosi choir. In the evening a band concert and the presentation of a comedy. The following day, the simulacrum of the Saint will return to the parish with the cart pulled by oxen. A ballu tundu show is also planned. On the 6th the conclusion of “Sa festa manna” with the procession at 7 pm. Fireworks and the show with Claudia Aru in concert will follow.

The Pro Loco also organizes a series of initiatives within the festival: there will also be the feast of "Sa friture" and craft beers , exhibitions and other initiatives destined to attract the interest of many people. Volunteers and members of the Pro Loco inside the arcades of the church will try their hand at the preparation and frying of traditional foods such as seadas, panadine with vegetables and sausage, sweet and savory ravioli, onion rings and medallions with aubergines and purpuzza sestese and vegetables in batter. By the breweries, beers of artisanal production will be served and not subjected, during the production phase, to pasteurization and microfiltration processes.

The "masters" of the art of Sesto bread making will use the knowledge handed down by their parents, using the mother yeast "Sa madrighe" and the raw material such as durum wheat semolina derived from the "Cappelli" wheat.

Also inside the arcades, an exhibition on Sesto folk clothing will be set up, curated in collaboration with the “Gruppo Folk i Nuraghi” of Sestu.
