The regional Serie D basketball championship starts again with the fourth first leg. It will be a long weekend, with the calendar offering races today, tomorrow and Monday.

Challenges at the top . The big match of the round is certainly tomorrow's match, at 6 pm, between Astro Cagliari and San Salvatore Selargius. Both unbeaten, at the moment the quintet coached by Gianluca Susini is on a solitary summit, taking advantage of the rest period already observed by the Selargina team. By winning, the Star would continue the lone escape; should San Salvatore impose itself, however, it could recreate great crowding at the top. Carbonia and Coral Alghero could seize the opportunity on the fly and one of the two, in the event of a Selargina victory, hook the first place. The two teams, who both live a good period of form, take the field today at 6 pm. Sennori could also take advantage of the situation (together with Coral and Carbonia), which tomorrow at 6 pm will host the Orristano Basket. If successful, the Sennoresi would at least remain in the noble parts of the ranking. The Oristano, on the other hand, are aiming for the first victory of the season, after the two defeats of the debut.

The other races . Today, at 6 pm, the Azzurra Oristano hosts Elmas: the former want to relaunch after two defeats, the Masesi want to give continuity to the success of seven days ago against Assemini. Finally, on Monday, postponement between Assemini and Genneruxi Cagliari. The Asseminesi are looking for their first win of the season, while the Cagliari players aim for continuity in the results after breaking the ice in the last round.
