Romi Fuke is withdrawing from Olbia. "The conditions for transparency and operation are lacking," reads a press release from Sport & Tourism Investments, the company owned by the Brianza-based entrepreneur who came out in early December with his intention to acquire Olbia Calcio.
The statement announcing the breakdown of negotiations this afternoon emphasized "deep regret at the impossibility of continuing with the process of acquiring the sports arm of Olbia Calcio," and that "the transaction was unable to be completed due to the failure to provide the financial statements and the resulting inability to complete the economic and financial checks necessary to make responsible, structured, and regulatory-compliant decisions."
Fuke's disappointment is legitimate. "I worked to build a concrete operation to support Olbia Calcio, investing time, resources, and energy with the goal of ensuring stability, sporting continuity, and respect for the rules," he explains.
"In the absence of minimum transparency and operational conditions, I believe it's right to stop. My desire to continue investing in football and sport remains firm."
