Olbia's most difficult match will be played in the coming weeks. To cover players' outstanding wages, former employees' disputes, suppliers' injunctions, and the first of six installments due by June 30th to SwissPro, amounting to €125,000, as agreed in January for the transfer of ownership, Prosoccer is primarily seeking new investors.

When asked about the matter, Olbia's technical director, Ninni Corda, assured that within 15 days, it will be possible to know the names of the entrepreneurs willing to support Prosoccer in their quest to secure the future of the Gallura club, burdened, among other things, by several million euros in debt. As for Serie D, having failed to save the league on the pitch, hopes are high for a repechage. Corporate solidity will also play a key role.

The rankings are composed of catchment area, sporting rights based on seniority of membership in the FIGC with the same registration number, sporting merit, i.e. the position in the league table at the end of the last season and the playout results, and sporting value, such as participation in the various football leagues (from D to A).

But also youth activity and participation in the women's championship, areas in which Olbia would not earn points; the same goes for the Italian Cup, the "Giovani D Valore" project, and disciplinary merits. The ranking for the repechages will also be influenced by the evaluation of the sports facility and the deductions for penalty points in the standings, and in this case Olbia, sanctioned for the delay in applying for the championship, would lose 4 (2 for each point).

In short, the Gallura club wouldn't make it to 30. This year's rules also provide for the first repechage of a club that has lost the Eccellenza playoffs, followed by a club relegated from Serie D, alternating until the roster is complete. It's unlikely, if not impossible, that Olbia will be among the top teams in the standings, given that much will depend, if that happens, on the vacancies and the teams that submit repechage requests.
