Giancarlo Favarin has called up 20 players for the early third matchday of the Serie D championship, which will see Olbia play tomorrow, starting at 2 pm, away to Palmese, who are tied on points, following two draws, like Favarin's team.

The injured Ascioti and Staffa, and the suspended Putzu, as well as Anelli and Marroni, are absent, presumably for technical reasons: it seems, in fact, that the two players are considered out of the coaching plan. Today, after finishing their training at the Bruno Nespoli stadium, Olbia departed for Rome, from where they will travel to Pomigliano D'Arco and the Ugo Gabassi stadium, where they will play Palmese.

Therefore, there will be no pre-match press conference for Favarin, who was unable to speak about tomorrow's match, but who nevertheless explained on Sunday, after the draw with Valmontone: "We decided to move the match forward in agreement with the club, because then on Wednesday we play a midweek match and have an extra day of recovery. We need to play: we say that the best training session is a match."

The reference is to the delay in fitness due to the season's delayed start, due to the well-known corporate issues related to the financial crisis at SwissPro, owner of Olbia Calcio. In this regard, players and coaching staff members reportedly received their August salary transfer yesterday.

The remaining payments for June and July are due to those who were under contract at the time, and for May, June, July, and August to the club's other employees (administrative staff, communications managers, and warehouse workers).
