It's now official: Olbia has fired Marco Amelia, temporarily entrusting the team to Mario Isoni, coach of the Under 19s.

The club's note arrived before midday, confirming the news that had started circulating very early this morning, so much so that the Roman coach, who returned to the city after the unfortunate away match against Anzio, which cost the whites their third defeat in four league games, was unable to lead the 7am training session.

"Olbia Calcio 1905 announces that it has relieved Marco Amelia and Alessandro Moglioni of their duties as Coach and Assistant of the first team. At the moment, the training sessions will be chaired by the Under 19 Coach Mario Isoni", reads the official press release from Olbia. "The club thanks Mister Amelia and his Assistant for the commitment shown since day one and wishes them good luck for their future projects".

It remains to be seen whether Isoni will truly be a temporary solution or the coach who will lead the Gallura team, currently bottom of the table with one point, for the rest of the season in Serie D.
