Daniele Livieri confirms the feeling that the Olbia team seen in Rome against Atletico Lodigiani was a distant relative of the team that held Palmese to a 0-0 draw at the Nespoli.

"The performance in Rome was decidedly inadequate. Compared to last Sunday, we've clearly taken a step backwards, in every respect," the Whites' coach explained late yesterday evening, commenting on the 2-0 defeat in the fourth round of the Serie D second leg. "Right now, everyone, without exception, must take on great responsibility to escape a situation that cannot and should not be Olbia's. There have been too many matches now," Livieri added, "in which the team has failed to express its potential, and it's clear that the time has come for a complete overhaul, starting with our attitude."

The Piedmontese coach, who has been in Olbia for 10 days, concluded: "We also need our most prominent players to make a greater impact, both on and off the pitch, becoming true leaders for the team. Only then can we turn things around."

The message is clear. Olbia, fourth from bottom with 21 points and a six-point gap from safety, must turn things around as soon as possible.

In the coming days, in addition to the necessary reinforcements—of which Riccardo Santi and the young Flavio Di Lazzaro, present yesterday in Rome, can be considered a taste, and Gabriele Lobrano and Nicolò Maspero a very welcome return—the salaries will arrive: by Saturday, the club must deposit with Co.Vi.So.D the releases from the members regarding the payment of the outstanding monthly salaries until December, otherwise it will suffer a penalty in the standings. Not the best. Not even for the mood of a team already severely tested, physically and mentally, by months of difficulty.
