It's now official: Giuseppe Pistilli has withdrawn from the purchase of Olbia Calcio. In a statement sent to the press this morning , the Lazio entrepreneur confirms last week's rumors, which were initially denied, albeit somewhat belatedly, by Guido Surace, CEO of Swiss Pro Promotion and Olbia Calcio 1905.

"Entrepreneur Giuseppe Pistilli officially announces his decision not to pursue the acquisition of Olbia Calcio 1905, terminating the negotiations initiated in recent weeks with the owners and other parties involved," the statement begins.

"After careful consideration," Pistilli stated, "I felt it was appropriate to halt the acquisition of Olbia Calcio. My decision stems from respect for the city, the fans, and the history of this club: a sports project, to be credible and sustainable, requires a convergence of intent, a shared vision, and the necessary conditions to ensure medium- and long-term stability. Unfortunately, today," continued the entrepreneur from Cori, in the province of Latina, who operates in the bakery and pastry sector, "not all the necessary conditions have been met to embark on a serious and shared growth path, also due to unjustified financial demands from third parties."

Pistilli emphasizes that he made this decision with a sense of responsibility and transparency, avoiding any uncertainties that could compromise the club's serenity or generate unrealistic expectations. "I would like to sincerely thank the Olbia fans, who welcomed me with warmth and respect from the very first moment. I have had the opportunity to meet a genuine, passionate sporting community deeply connected to the white colors. My deepest wishes go out to them: may they soon experience the sporting success they deserve and see their team play a leading role in future championships."

The entrepreneur also emphasizes that his interest and passion for the world of football remain unchanged, and that he will evaluate new investment opportunities in the sports sector in the future, always with integrity, transparency, and respect for local communities. "Football is a cultural and social heritage of our country," Pistilli concludes, "and I will continue to treat it as such, with the same enthusiasm and sense of responsibility that have accompanied me on this journey."

This press release officially closes the negotiations between Giuseppe Pistilli and Olbia Calcio. Signed by Giuseppe Pistilli's press office.
