Torres is tireless, and despite being without six injured players, he continues to demonstrate heart, solidity, and maturity. At the "Vanni Sanna" stadium, there was no contest: 2-0 victory against the visitors, who had barely had a shot on target until the 85th minute. Their sixth home win (in seven games) brings the Sassari team to within one point of third-place Grosseto.

Greco's team was truly commendable, displaying determination and tactical acumen, reducing the threat to zero and striking in the second half. In the 5th minute, Zecca recovered in the attacking midfield and passed to Carboni, who delivered a delightfully timed assist to Bunino, who was relentless in the diagonal shot that gave the lead. Zecca counterattacked in the 64th minute, passing to the left for Corsinelli, who tapped in on the run to make it 2-0.

The visitors attempted to push forward towards the end, but aside from a Marenco header that went close to the crossbar, they were unable to threaten. Positive notes: the returns of striker Scotto and defender Nunziatini after injuries.

The only real flaw was the small crowd: just over 2,300 spectators. This is inexplicable given the best home record of the group stage for Torres, the league's revelation.
