The play showed positive signs, but the offensive drought continued. The goalless draw in Pesaro was a comforting performance, especially in the second half, which was played at a high tempo and resulted in at least six or seven scoring opportunities.

The main obstacle to the league standings, which remain in the play-offs, is the team's lackluster attack. Torres has the worst offensive performance in the group: just five goals in nine games. Only Livorno has fared worse, with four goals. Three of the Rossoblu's goals were scored by Musso, one by Diakite, and one by Zecca, in their only win of the season so far, a 1-0 victory over Pontedera on matchday one.

"It's a matter of centimeters," said coach Michele Pazienza. The next matches, against Forlì and Guidonia, will tell whether this is the case or whether some players have specific limitations, whether in the quality of their final passes or their shooting accuracy.

Furthermore, the referees' strange reluctance to award penalties to the Sassari team doesn't help, as clearly demonstrated in the away matches against Bra and Vis Pesaro.
