Serie C, Torres responds to Cesena by beating Gubbio 3-1: rossoblù still at the top

A spectacular first half and a recovery in control: the Sassari team beat Gubbio 3-1 and remains arm in arm with Cesena at the top of the table .
The first half of the game was truly high-quality with the rossoblùs actually resolving the match in less than twenty minutes thanks to Fischnaller 's second brace. In the 5th minute Scotto's free kick was deflected near the left corner. The result is five consecutive corners that cause concern for the Umbrian defense. On the fourth attempt, Zecca's header ends up on the top of the crossbar after a deflection. The goal matured and the fruit was achieved in the 8th minute by Fischnaller who received a ball on the right in the area and, despite being out of the way, hit the target with the diagonal.
Gubbio's response was rapid: in the 10th minute Udoh forcefully freed himself from the defender and the torpedo exploded from the central position which Zaccagno blocked in flight. Torres counterattack and Ruocco gives a golden ball to Mastinu who enters the area but finishes on the outside of the net.
Great rossoblù action in the 19th minute, with Scotto opening first for Ruocco who serves Fischnaller on the right: stop and quick shot towards the opposite corner for a personal and team double .
Mastinu again devours the goal after half an hour on an assist from Fischnaller in the area: a shot too weak. Protests from Sassari in the 31st minute due to an obvious push for fouls by Ruocco which the referee glosses over. In the 42nd minute Ruocco enters the area on the right and serves behind for the onrushing Zecca who widens the diagonal too much. Gubbio is dangerous in the 43rd minute, Udoh goes off to the right and receives it well in the area and shoots: Zaccagno blocks with his foot.
In the second half, in the 66th minute, Torres counterattacks with an opening on the right for Zecca who tries to get the defender drunk and shoots, the goalkeeper gets there with the tips of his fingers. In the 84th minute, a back pass mismanaged by Portanova who is too soft and falls into contact with Ruocco who steals the ball, goes away and also discards the goalkeeper for 3-0. In injury time, a defensive distraction allows Di Gianni to score the winning goal.
