Cohesive, enthusiastic, with clear ideas and ready to go: it is in this "role" that Olbia presented itself yesterday evening in the square of the former Scolastico . One week after the seasonal debut, which will take place next Sunday at home against Cesena on the 1st day of the Serie C championship, the whites reveal their faces.

To break the delay in the evening presented by Matteo Pianezzi at the ex Scolastico, in front of a good audience and at the Curva Mare, well charged in view of the new season, Leandro Greco , who took the stage with his staff: the deputy Oscar Muratori, the match analyst Marco Giustini, the athletic trainers Carlo Giua and Emanuele Bandinu, the goalkeeping coach Fabrizio Martellotta and the physiotherapist Antonio Calanda.

"For me it is a pride and a great opportunity to start this journey here, in this city and with this club: we are working to try and create something that can represent the city of Olbia and all of you ", begins the new Olbia coach. «A tough group awaits us but the real challenge is with ourselves, in the awareness that putting human values will be a key step. Salvation is the first goal, and it's not a foregone conclusion, but working with the boys I've seen that the bar can be raised. But I repeat: the real challenge is with ourselves, in our daily work, in victories and defeats in particular, because that's where we see true values».

So, the hottest topic: the derby with Torres, a guest at "Nespoli" on the 3rd day, on 16 September. « I know that the derby is important beyond the feeling of belonging, I also perceived it by talking to them first» , explains Greco pointing to the Curva Mare, which immediately sets off the chants. "They basically answered the importance of the derby," is the reply from the former Roma player. Who leaves with a consideration on the tournament awaiting Olbia, included in group B: «Cesena and Torres immediately at home are an opportunity that gives us the possibility to compete immediately: above all the match against Cesena, for technical values and character of the opponent, it will be important to put us to the test. But I am of the opinion – he adds – that character always beats talent».

Then the team. In order: goalkeepers Rinaldi and Van der Want, the defence, Bellodi, Arboleda, Fabbri, Mordini, Montebugnoli, Motolese, Palomba and Zallu, the midfield, with La Rosa, Belloni, Biancu, Dessena, Incerti, Zanchetta, Cavuoti and Caggiu, and the forwards Nanni, Corti, Contini, Scapin and Boganini, complete with crutches for the injury (yet to be assessed) to his right knee suffered in the test against Ossese, a week earlier. Finally Ragatzu , awarded by Alessandro Marino as top scorer (with 19 goals) of last season. «An individual but also collective recognition, for the result achieved with everyone's contribution: our value this year too must be cohesion », underlines the president of Olbia.

Joined on stage by Tomaso Tatti ("There is enthusiasm and cohesion, a difficult championship awaits us but we are ready", intervenes the Gallura sports director), the number one of the whites closes by denying the rumors about a possible sale of the club: " I've been here for 8 years, I feel like I'm from Olbia, and I won't run away from my commitment to grow the Olbia project: other investors are welcome». And making an appeal to the fans: "Come and fill the stadium".
