Now it's official: for the Sardinian Serie C teams the Italian Cup will start with the Torres-Olbia derby. This was announced by the Lega Pro.

The match valid for the first elimination round will, in fact, be played in Sassari: probable date is 4 October (the round will be scheduled on Tuesday 3 October, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 also in relation to the programming of the championship). For the record, last year the derby was played in Olbia, where the hosts prevailed 2-1.

At the "Vanni Sanna" it will be a single direct elimination match: in the event of a tie, two 15-minute extra periods will be played, if the tie persists we will proceed with penalty kicks. The winner will then face the winner of the match between Pro Vercelli and Juventus Next Generation between 7, 8 and 9 November away in the second elimination round, while the round of 16 will start on the 28th of the same month.

Today the Lega Pro also made official the match times from the 6th to the 11th matchday of the Serie C championship; as regards Olbia and Torres the program is as follows:

6th day, Sunday 1 October:

2pm, Olbia-Ancona;

2pm, Juventus Next Generation-Torres.

7th day, Sunday 8 October:

2pm, Torres-Lucchese;

2pm, Virtus Entella-Olbia.

8th day, Sunday 15 October:

2pm, Olbia-Pineto;

2pm, Perugia-Torres.

9th matchday, Sunday 22 October:

2pm, Torres-Pontedera;

4.15pm, Gubbio-Olbia.

10th matchday, Wednesday 25 October:

6.30 pm, Olbia-Fermana;

8.45pm, Pescara-Torres.

11th matchday, Sunday 29 October:

2pm, Torres-Spal;

2pm, Juventus Next Generation-Olbia.
