Stoica Torres, without eight players, took a point from Pescara (0-0), one of the favorites to win promotion, if not directly, at least through the playoffs. The Sassari team managed to compete virtually on equal terms with the Abruzzo team thanks to their great tactical maturity.

In the first half, Ferraris's goal was disallowed for Parigi's offside. At the end, Bunino's beautiful low shot was put out for a corner by the goalkeeper, while before halftime, Capellini got in front of Masala, who was about to strike from two meters.
In the second half, Torres tried to surprise Pescara with Zecca and Giorico. Pescara grew in strength and created six chances: in the 53rd minute with D'Ausilio (Zaccagno parries) and Erradi (the outside of the net), in the 56th minute with D'Ausilio (the outside of the left post), in the 64th minute with Motta (Zaccagno parries), and in the 68th minute with Motta, but the Rossoblu goalkeeper blocked the ball. In the 71st minute, Meazzi left the opposition behind, passing to D'Ausilio, who spectacularly squandered the opportunity in the six-yard box.

Torres still ended up ahead through Corsinelli (a shot deflected off a defender's face) and through substitute Sotgiu, who in injury time was subjected to a suspicious push that was ignored by the referee.
