The Museo della Tonnara di Stintino (MuT) is preparing to inaugurate a September full of cultural events, opening its doors to a variety of experiences that intertwine art, music, cinema and debates of social and academic relevance. After the two training courses dedicated to information professionals, scheduled for September 3, from 4 to 7 the event “GenS. Gender Studies Week” offers a week of reflections and studies on power asymmetries and class ideologies through a gender lens.

This symposium sees the participation of internationally renowned academics, in collaboration with the University of Rome “Sapienza”, the Municipality of Stintino and the University of Sassari, and promises to be a hub of cultural and intellectual exchange. Tuesday 10 September (7 pm): “Musica d'Estate a Stintino” will resonate in the evening with the performance of the Klaviol Trio. This event unites the melodies of the clarinet, violin and piano in a musical journey that crosses theater, cinema and different cultural influences, with the talents of Gianbattista Ciliberti, Flavio Maddonni and Piero Rotolo. On 14 and 15 September (6 pm) the thirtieth edition of “Visioni Sarde” illuminates the cinematographic panorama of Sardinia.

This festival, in collaboration with the Fondazione Sardegna Film Commission and the Cineteca di Bologna, is an exploration of quality Sardinian cinema, presented by director Sergio Scavio. Sunday 22 September (11-13, 16-20): During the “National Day of Small Museums”, the MuT celebrates its unique identity as a custodian of maritime history and culture. An opportunity to discover the permanent collections and special activities in a festive and inclusive context.
