Sardinia in the top 3 of the most virtuous Italian regions for separate waste collection.

This is what emerges from the presentation of the XIV Anci-Conai Report on the disposal of urban waste.

According to the report – referring to 2023 data – the Island ranks third after Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, with a percentage of waste delivered to recycling equal to 76.3%.

At a national level, in Italy an overall average percentage of separate waste collection equal to 66.6% was achieved, with an increase of almost 5% compared to 2019 and 1.5% on 2022 , a sign of continuous improvement in collection organizational models.

The national average per capita production of total urban waste is equal to 496 kg/inhabitant, up 1% compared to 2022.
