Senorbì is preparing to host the CartaBianca literary competition awards once again, renewing the partnership between the Municipality and the CartaBianca cultural association. This partnership aims to promote the culture of writing and, in particular, to engage younger generations, offering aspiring Sardinian writers a space to express their talent, creativity, and sensitivity. The official call for entries for the 17th edition of CartaBianca, 2026-2027, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Senorbì and the Municipality of Soddì, has been published . The competition is open to Italian and foreign authors residing in Sardinia and features three sections: short stories, aphorisms, and poetry. Particular attention is given to elementary, middle, and high school students from across Sardinia, to whom a special section of the competition is dedicated. Students may participate through their school, under the supervision of teachers, or independently, provided they have parental permission. Participation is completely free, and the topic of the entries is open to all. For short stories, the limit is 3,400 characters, including spaces, corresponding to two editorial pages and in any case no more than 58 lines. Aphorisms cannot exceed 300 characters, while poems must be contained within 20 lines, with a maximum of 53 characters per line.

Each author may compete in only one section. Works may be published or unpublished, provided the author holds the rights and they have not already been included in previous CartaBianca anthologies. Submissions must be submitted by April 10, 2027, to concorsoletterariocartabianca@gmail.com, following the instructions in the call for entries . The works will be evaluated by a jury composed of journalist and CartaBianca vice president Alessandra Addari , poets Lalla De Angelis and Mirella De Cortes, writer and editorial director of La Zattera Paolo Montaldo, and professor and writer Augusto Montisci. The artistic director of the event is Fabrizio Manca Nicoletti. As in previous editions, the best works will be included in a series of anthologies, which will be presented at the closing ceremonies.

And Senorbì itself will once again be a central location for the event. The awards ceremony is scheduled for May and June 2027 : in Senorbì, authors from the provinces of Cagliari, South Sardinia, and Carbonia-Iglesias will be honored, while in Soddì, the ceremony dedicated to the provinces of Oristano, Nuoro, Sassari, and Olbia-Tempio will be held. Winners and finalists for the various categories will be announced from among those present at the ceremonies, with the possibility of attending both. The renewal of the collaboration with the Municipality of Senorbì thus confirms the role that this Trexenta town has assumed in the CartaBianca journey. "This event," explains the Municipal Councilor for Culture, Sonia Mascia, "aims to introduce new authors, especially young men and women, to writing, giving them the opportunity to see their works published and to interact with writers, poets, and cultural professionals."
