An event dedicated to contemporary art and culture: on Saturday, May 9, at 6:00 pm, the Domu Nosta Archaeological Museum (MADN) will host the presentation of the monograph "Italo Antico 1954/2024," published by Janus Editore.

The speaker at the event will be Italo Antico, a prominent figure in the Sardinian and national artistic scene, who will participate in the meeting together with the authors of the volume: Marcella Serreli, Maria Demuru, Alessandro Sitzia, and Gianni Murtas.

The artist is also known for the celebrated cast of Turriga's Mother Goddess, created for the 1970 Osaka Expo and recently donated to the Senorbì Museum, thus enriching the local cultural heritage. This volume represents the result of in-depth research and analysis, offering a comprehensive and nuanced interpretation of the artist's creative journey. Painting, sculpture, and jewelry intertwine in a body of work distinguished by formal elegance, rigor, and a synthesis of essential expression.

The book traces the artistic and personal story of Antico, an internationally renowned artist who, throughout his career, developed original artistic languages, translating them into works of strong aesthetic impact. The publication stands out for its unprecedented iconographic apparatus, making it a valuable resource for scholars and art enthusiasts. The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Senorbì, is produced in collaboration with Janus Editore and Marco Serra's Gramar bookshop, with the support of Cantina Trexenta.
