Luca Martinelli, a promising young radio journalist, meets Mother Maria Benedetta, abbess of the Mater Ecclesiae monastery on the island of San Giulio. The podcast he intends to produce is dedicated to her and her unique life choices. Against the evocative backdrop of Lake Orta, their voices intersect, sparking a profound dialogue, a journey to immerse themselves and reflect on life, its infinite opportunities, and the courage to listen to the voice of the heart, without barriers or compromise.
This is the brief plot of Elvira Serra's new novel, "Le voci di Via del Silenzio" (Solferino), which will be presented on Friday, August 1st, at 7 pm, at the Madn in Senorbì during the usual summer event with the "A Night at the Museum" series.
The protagonist of this 2025 edition will be Elvira Serra. A Corriere della Sera correspondent, she covers current affairs and lifestyle, and has conducted interviews with celebrities, highlighting their human essence. She writes the column "Polaroid," writes for the blog "La ventisettesima ora," and contributes to the weeklies "Diva e Donna" and "Oggi." The evening's artistic direction is entrusted to Flaviano Ortu, whose exhibitions enrich the halls of our Museum.
"This cultural initiative is part of the celebrations in honor of Sant'Antioco, and we thank the Sant'Antioco Committee for their sensitivity and enthusiasm. Marco Serra and the Gramar Stationery Shop in Senorbì will provide valuable support," emphasizes the director of the Madn, Elisabetta Frau.
