The FlashBack Art Fair, a modern and contemporary art exhibition, was a great success in Turin, showcasing works by Pinuccio Sciola, among others.

The event aims to be "an ecosystem dedicated to all contemporary cultures " through an "innovative and evolving format that focuses on the ability to look at what already exists, at what has been overlooked, to reaffirm its existence and strength." The rooms showcase classical and contemporary art, painting and performance, in a journey that restores to the public the living experience of art as a daily and shared act.

Sciola's works' participation in this prestigious cultural event was made possible by the collaboration between the Pinuccio Sciola Foundation and the Mancaspazio Gallery, with the creation of an installation capable of evoking the unique atmosphere of the San Sperate Sound Garden.

"The presence of the Sounding Stones at Flashback was particularly meaningful for us," comments Tomaso Sciola, vice president of the Foundation named after his father Pinuccio. " In such an influential and diverse context, our father's work confirmed its dialogic power : stone, from an ancestral element, becomes a contemporary language, capable of stirring emotion and creating profound connections between cultures and generations. The exceptional response from the public and critics demonstrates how his research continues to speak a universal language, rooted in the Sardinian land but projected into the future of the art world."

The exhibition stand, designed by exhibition designer Andrea Isola, was conceived as a reworking of the sculptural circle of the Sound Garden: a place for meeting and connecting where, around the fire, Sciola engaged visitors in an immersive experience within the San Sperate space. The deeply cut limestone and basalt sculptures are open to the eye and ear: stone is a musical instrument, a vibrant material, a body of sound.

During the exhibition, the artist's children, Maria and Tomaso, were present at the stand to play the works for the Flashback audience, who had the precious opportunity to hear the sound of stone and experience the artist's poetics firsthand. Singer Diodato was also among the guests.
