There are also the "Seeds of Peace" by Pinuccio Sciola among the 101 works of contemporary art and the 102 design objects that from 2019, through the three editions of "Quirinale Contemporaneo", have enriched the extraordinary cultural heritage of the presidential endowment. divided between the Quirinale Palace, the Castelporziano Estate and Villa Rosebery.

"The works of Pinuccio Sciola at the Quirinale interact with the works of Vedova, Fontana, Pistoletto and with the most famous designers in the world. The acquisition of the Semi della Pace from the Quirinale collection - say the children of the late San Sperate artist - represents another important step in the enhancement of the Sardinian artist and a further recognition of his enormous value ".

The collection was presented in Rome in the presence of the head of state, Sergio Mattarella.

"I would like to thank very much, for their sensitivity and generous availability, the living artists, the Foundations and the heirs who keep the memory of artists who are no longer alive and the companies producing design objects - said Mattarella -. As well as I am very grateful to those who, within the Quirinale, have contributed to planning, conceiving and implementing this initiative ".

"Art, with its creativity, providentially does not stop - continued the Head of State -. It continues to supply and give us works, interpretations, emotions. Institutions, truly connected with society and the life of the country, have the the task - and I would like to add the duty - to recognize them, to welcome them. This is the meaning of the 'contemporary Quirinale' operation ".

The institutional headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic today see the original decorative structure dating back to the papal and then Savoy epochs, happily combined with the artistic expressions of the republican era, represented by the main currents and the most significant authors of the second half of the twentieth century and of the 21st century: heterogeneous expressions ranging from positions closest to the avant-garde to those linked to tradition and which include paintings, sculptures, installations, mosaics, photographs, embroidery, looms.
