These are the final days of Sciampitta, the international folklore festival organized by the Città di Quarto group, which concludes tomorrow evening with a show in the market square, broadcast live by Videolina at 9 pm.

After last night's crowd-pleasing Sciampitta under the stars, featuring dances from Friuli, Portugal, Balla Sardinia, Argentina, and Peru, the event continues today with two more events. At 11:00 a.m., the former Capuchin convent on Via Brigata Sassari will host an institutional meeting with the "Harmonies of the World" delegations, followed by a concert featuring groups from Friuli, Portugal, Argentina, and Peru. At 9:00 p.m., the event moves to Sa dom'e Farra for a folk dance, with the groups meeting with the locals. Sciampitta's journey traverses Quartu, transforming it into a crossroads of cultures. Giuliano Marongiu and Margherita Puddu will be on stage to introduce the event.

"With hearts full of enthusiasm," said the festival's artistic director Margherita Puddu, "we are experiencing this 41st edition of Sciampitta, a festival that every year makes us feel part of something big, colorful, and alive." (g. da.)
