University of Sassari and Corecom side by side in training regarding institutional communication and the digitization of public education . The university and the Regional Communications Committee have signed a protocol which will open the doors to scholarships, internships, meetings and the planning of an adequate training offer on the subject. In particular, a first level Master's on Media education will soon be launched.

The agreement was signed in the university council chamber by the rector Gavino Mariotti and the president of Corecom Sardegna Sergio Nuvoli , in the presence of Massimo Dell'Utri, professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences: «On the issues of information and of communication», Nuvoli declared, « the University of Sassari has a long history : for this reason it seemed appropriate to us to build a solid alliance even on often overlooked issues, such as respect for equality in the conditions of access to communications , with reference not only to gender equality, but also to all the conditions that may oppose the full implementation of the principle of equality even in the so-called on-life, the digital environment in which we are all now immersed. There is also a lot to do with regard to institutional communication in Sardinia ».

Indeed, part of the agreement concerns the use of communications by people with disabilities, but also the fight against discriminatory messages and the phenomenon of cyberbullying , also in relation to the recent law approved by the Regional Council, which entrusted Corecom with a important role in the fight against bullying and, precisely, against cyberbullying. Not only that, because the protocol also gives a nod to future topical issues: «The alliance with the world of education and training», added Sergio Nuvoli, «also includes knowledge of topics related to artificial intelligence , and on this the University of Sassari can make a very important scientific contribution».
