The national secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, arrived in Alghero on the occasion of the public meeting of the Campo Largo candidate Alessandra Todde at the Miramare.

Cinema packed beyond measure: the 400 seats were not enough and many people remained outside.

The dem secretary underlined the qualities of the candidate Todde and regretted the divisions in the Sardinian centre-left.

«It is the best possible candidacy, that of Alessandra Todde. With a coalition that chose it and that wants to produce a positive change for this land that deserves it so much,” said Schlein.

The reference to his rival at home, Renato Soru, is inevitable: «I have always had a lot of respect for him», underlined the secretary, «but I think that the opponent here is the right. And let him be a common adversary", he added, revealing regret for the division of the front.

«The Resistance starts from Sardinia», Alessandra Todde then said from the stage, «the progressive camp is strong, we want to give hope to the Sardinians and defeat this incompetent right that has done harm to Sardinia, the worst government it has ever had».
