Thirteen guitarists from Europe, Latin America and Asia competing for the prestigious "Emilio Pujol", the biennial international competition celebrating its twentieth edition.

The event is dedicated to the teacher and guitarist Armando Marrosu who created the competition in 1980. The event is from Thursday to Saturday in the Sassu Hall of the Sassari Conservatory.

The jury will be chaired by the director of the Sassari Conservatory, Mariano Meloni, and also composed of the guitarists and teachers Lena Kokkaliari, Stefano Grondona, José Payé López, Carles Trepat.

The competition is divided into three days: the preliminary phases are on Thursday and Friday from 10am, while the final will be on Saturday at 8pm . During each test the competitors will have to perform a compulsory piece, Impromptu by Emilio Pujol, and a freely chosen program .
