A sort of red pimpernel who acted under pseudonyms against fascism, inserting himself into propaganda radio broadcasts arguing and accusing the regime. And he did so for three years, until the fall of the Duce. Behind that "spectre" was the Sassari politician Luigi Polano, whose story was narrated by the journalist and writer Vindex Lecis in the novel "The voice of truth. The story of Luigi Polano, the communist who mocked Mussolini". The Crogiuolo company of Cagliari has based a theatrical show on the novel which will be staged on Saturday at 9pm at the Cine Teatro Astra.

Text and direction are by Rita Atzeri. On the stage of the Sassari theater Giovanni Trudu, Alessandro Redegoso and Marco Secchi.

The show was created with the aim of introducing younger people to the figure of a revolutionary intellectual who, at the end of the war, was also a deputy and senator of the Italian Communist Party from 1948 to 1968.

The title is included in the program of the 33rd Ethnia and Theatricality festival organized by the Sassari Theater Company.
