A dispute over a lack of precedence risked ending in tragedy this morning in Sassari , in the historic center.

The attacker was arrested after he injured a motorist in the head with a katana , at the height of a dispute over a lack of precedence. The quarrel just before 11, in via Maddalena , in the historic center of the capital of the north west of Sardinia.

The two argued for a lack of precedence, and one of them took the katana from the car and hit the opponent injuring him in the head, fortunately not seriously. The patrols of the State Police and the local police rushed to the scene and stopped the attacker.

The man, already known to the police, was arrested and is now locked up in the security room of the police headquarters. The katana was recovered and confiscated while the injured person was accompanied to the emergency room for first aid.
