The protagonists of the Easter Concert are the Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Choir of the Sassari Conservatory , together with the Choir of the "Rossini" musical association.
The program includes the performance of the Berceuse élégiaque for small orchestra op. 42 KV252a by Ferruccio Busoni, the Stabat Mater op. 138 by Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger and the Symphony in G minor n°25 KV183 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The orchestra, which will be directed by Mattia Rondelli, teacher of orchestral exercises at the Conservatory, has 43 students out of over 50 musicians, to which are added the 58 choristers - of which 28 are students and former students - prepared by Clara Antoniciello, teacher of the Canepa. The event, like all the Conservatory's events, has free entry and is subject to availability.
As already happened for the inaugural concert of the academic year, last February, the Easter Concert will also be performed again the following day, Saturday 23 March, again at 8.30 pm, in the cathedral of Santa Maria in Alghero.
