Earthquake at the Mario Sironi Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari. Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of Research, issued a decree placing the institution under special administration, where, she reports in the ruling, "serious and persistent violations of the law" have occurred.

Francesco Ginesu, a former city councilor in the last council term, will assume the role of "ministerial commissioner who will adopt the measures necessary for the orderly and timely conduct of the Academy's institutional activities, primarily carrying out the functions attributed to the president of the AFAM institutions by current legislation."

Furthermore, the minister is proceeding "with the removal of the director, whose term expires on October 31, 2026, and of the institution's academic council, in consideration of the serious and repeated decisions taken by the aforementioned bodies in conflict with the ministerial instructions provided." This decision comes after a formal warning last May and, it continues, takes into account "the absence of the presidential body, the inability of the board of directors to deliberate, the proven dysfunctions of the deliberative process within the institution's academic council, aggravated by the resignations of four members of the body, as well as the proven dysfunctions of the management body."
